Seven large clusters of jobs were i... 展开 The areas investigated and a brief statement of findings include: (1) On the basis of the tasks job incumbents perform, the structure of the Air Transportation career ladder appears appropriate. Seven large clusters of jobs were identified and included such functions as supervisors, terminal operations center controllers, air freight specialists, passenger specialist, in-flight personnel, instructors and administrators. Within these clusters, 46 separate jobs were identified and reported; (2) The training documens (STS and POI) were examined and compared to tasks performed by survey respondents. The specialty training standards are generally on target and require only minor revision. The basic technical training courses, air passenger specialist 3ABR60530 and air cargo specialist 3ABR60531, require more complete examination particularly with regard to the relevancy and cost effectivenss of training; and (3) The relative difficulty of tasks was examined. The data reflect a broad range of difficulty with few respondents performing the tasks rated as more difficult. (Author) 收起
