The aim of this methodological study was to try if an electron questionnaire in the handheld computer Newton could fulfill these requirements. An earlier used questionnaire on paper was revised to fulfill the technical requirements for an electronic. The new questionnaire was only composed of questions with fixed response alternatives and was so constructed that you couldn't skip or return to a question and you could only give one answer within a fixed scale. The questionnaire was computerized with Formlt and installed on the Newton message pad. This method for data collection was tested at different active-service conditions during five Command Post Exercises. The result show that it was easier to collect data using an electronic questionnaire. However, the most important benefit was data of a much better quality, due to the fact that all the questionnaires were filled in correctly. The data analysis was much faster. Thanks to this it was possible to present preliminary results for those who took part in the study. 收起
