The code is significantly improved over ex... 展开 The computer code ATLES is designed to compute the infrared radiance signatures of missile and aircraft exhaust plumes with allowance for attenuation by arbitrary atmospheric slant paths. The code is significantly improved over existing radiation codes through the use of newly developed band radiation formulations for nonuniform optical paths and the use of temperature-consistent band model parameters. Descriptions of the radiation formulation and some of the significant computational routines are presented. The latter include the geometry of intersection between an arbitrary line of sight through the atmosphere and a plume contained within a paraboloid control volume. Detailed instructions on the preparation of input data are presented, and use of the code is illustrated by an application to a jet-aircraft plume. (Author) 收起
