This report describes the theoretical analysis of a basic switching-mode amplifier configuration, and reduces the theoretical material to a specific procedure for the practical design of switching-mode amplifiers for a variety of applications. The basic configuration features high overall efficiency, low quiescent power consumption, a filtered, analog output signal, and adaptability to a wide variety of input, feedback and load configurations. Included is a design example with a maximum d-c power output of 150 watts at an overall efficiency of 90% at maximum power output. 收起
