Comparisons were also made between the measurements obtained using these four techniques and laboratory determinations of the compressive strength of cores taken from each bridge deck. It was concluded that each of the techniques,acoustic velocity,Windsor probe,Schmidt hammer and direct tensile test can be applied to a survey procedure for detecting weak spots.
