摘要: The paper reports on the recently developed methods for complete morphological particulate characterizations including measurements of particle mass and thickness together with the usual microscope parameters of projected area and... 展开 The paper reports on the recently developed methods for complete morphological particulate characterizations including measurements of particle mass and thickness together with the usual microscope parameters of projected area and shape. The method is based on computer evaluation of scanning electron microscope images which renders the analysis particle by particle. Nine commercially available aluminas have been characterized by this method. Statistical characteristics are compared with special emphasis on a 'tabularity index',which results from a mathematical evaluation of the correlation between the directly measured particle mass and the particle volume computed from the microscopic equivalent circular diameter.
