Through the analysis of a variety of resonators, the influence of the cavity geometry on the longitudinal electric field distribution is discussed, aiming toward optimum field profiles with associated high efficiency operation. Open resonators operating in the TE 021 mode are presented, which have been designed for a 35 GHz gyrotron under construction at INPE. 收起
