Both one dimensional and two dimensional models were used with the two dimensional model being superior. The two dimensional model accounts, in a purely phenomenological way, for the effects of turbulence and mechanical erosion in a flow. Criteria for mechanical erosion was related to the basal stress and the effect of entrained eroded material on fluid properties was parameterized. 收起
