摘要: This report outlines the results of a series of fire tests designed to provide quantitative gas concentration data for the rate of production of selected toxic gases formed when commercial lightweight bulkhead panels are involved ... 展开 This report outlines the results of a series of fire tests designed to provide quantitative gas concentration data for the rate of production of selected toxic gases formed when commercial lightweight bulkhead panels are involved in a pre-flashover compartment fire. The toxic gases of interest were: oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, formaldehyde, hydrogen chloride, chlorine and phosgene. The technical approach used was to characterize the rate of formation of these gases when full scale lightweight bulkhead walls were subjected to a reproducible propane burner fire in a compartment on board a ship and then compare these values with baseline data obtained using the same exposure fire with 'inert' bulkhead panels.
