摘要: A statistical analysis was done of tutored videotape instructional system (TVIDS) for SYS 100, Introduction to Acquisition Management, provided by the School of Systems and Logistics to determine if (a) student groups were compara... 展开 A statistical analysis was done of tutored videotape instructional system (TVIDS) for SYS 100, Introduction to Acquisition Management, provided by the School of Systems and Logistics to determine if (a) student groups were comparable in terms of grade/rank, education level, sex, age, and years of logistical experience; (b) student groups were statistically equal in terms of entry level knowledge; (c) student groups were statistically equal in terms of academic achievement; (d) students accepted the tutored videotape instructional system. Data gathering instruments included a demographic questionnaire, end-of-course critique, pretest, and post-test content exam. Analyses were performed using cross-tabulation, chi-square, one-way analyis of variance, and multiple regression. The significance level was established at .05. Results indicated the students were comparable in grade/rank and age. There were statistical differences among course offerings for the educational level of students. Sex and years of logistical experience could not be compared due to the population variances not being equal. In summary, the demographic factors of grade/rank and education level are predictors of academic achievement, and the students do not accept the TVIDS as a mode of instruction. 收起
