Specifically, the study was concerned with... 展开 This report presents the results of a study performed at the Department of Civil211Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science with application to ODOT's Aerial 211Engineering tasks. Specifically, the study was concerned with the integration of 211the Global Positioning System and an inertial navigation system (INS) for 211precise, continuous positioning of ODOT's aerial photogrammetric airplane. The 211study was based on testing a medium-to-high accuracy inertial navigation system 211(Litton's LN93) with GPS on board an aircraft. The objective was to demonstrate 211that such an integration can maintain the GPS accuracy of 2-3 cm over short 211intervals (few seconds) and to determine the capability using optimal estimation 211algorithms of maintaining accurate positions over somewhat longer periods. The 211motivation behind this study is the fact that GPS positioning may be interrupted 211because of a variety of reasons, from eletronic interference (causing cycle 211slips) to shadowing of the satellite signals (by aircraft wings and tail). 收起
