The transpiring wall reactor promises to mitigate problems of salt deposition and corrosion by forming a protective boundary layer of pure supercritical water. Sandia's Engineering Evaluation Reactor serves as a test bed to supply, pressurize and heat the waste; collect, measure, and analyze the effluent; and control operation of the system.
