The technique uses the second moment of the D... 展开 Results are described of an experiment to test the accuracy of a radar techniquefor calculating height profiles of turbulent dissipation rate and structure parameters in the clean air. The technique uses the second moment of the Doppler spectrum of backscatter from refractive index turbulence fluctuations. Such remote sensing of tubulence by present state-of-the-art wind would allow routine monitoring of profiles of the intensity of turbulence and its outer scale throughout the lower atmosphere. The experiment lends support to the accuracy of the technique. 收起
