In 1990 the National Aerospace Laboratory of the Netherlands (NLR) started the development of a Position Reference System (PRS) based on an Inertial Reference System (IRS), updated by GPS measurements. The development of the system is carried out under a contract awarded by the Netherlands Agency for Aerospace Programs, and in cooperation with Fokker Aircraft B.V. The flight test organization of the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group is involved in a similar development program. It has been agreed to cooperate in some parts of the development programs and to exchange results at regular intervals. 收起
