The most important consideration for site selection is the size of the bed sediment particles. The location and abundance of fine sediments on the bed of upper Tampa Bay are particularly important because they are more susceptible to resuspension. Because deeper sediments are not available for resuspension, only surficial sediments were classified during the study.
