Basic meteorological operational support consisted of applying dispersion models and conducting dispersion studies and model evaluations. The primary research effort was the development and evaluation of air quality simulation models using numerical and physical techniques supported by field studies. Modeling emphasis was on the dispersion of photochemical oxidants and particulate matter on urban and regional scales, dispersion in complex terrain, and the transport, transformation, and deposition of acidic materials. 收起
