摘要: A full-scale model of the Hypersonic International Flight Research Experimentation Program's Flight Five (HIFiRE-5) 2:1 elliptical cone, equipped with internal heaters to allow matching vehicle flight heating, was tested in the LE... 展开 A full-scale model of the Hypersonic International Flight Research Experimentation Program's Flight Five (HIFiRE-5) 2:1 elliptical cone, equipped with internal heaters to allow matching vehicle flight heating, was tested in the LENS I shock tunnel to observe boundary layer transition phenomena at Mach 7.8. Traveling crossflow was observed using three separate arrays of pressure sensors mounted flush to the surface. Each pressure array could determine the phase speed and wave angle using two different methods which will be compared here. The first method uses cross-spectral information primarily in the frequency domain and the second method uses the time-frequency domain. A simulation of the ability to resolve wave angle and phase speed for the new method is shown to verify claims of plausibility and limitations. Data collected from tests show evidence of the variability of crossflow and their presence and paths over time. 收起
