摘要: Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) are wavelength encoded fiber optic sensors used for sensing multitude of parameters like strain, temperature, pressure, etc. In this study, the response of FBG sensor to blast wave impact is analyzed nu... 展开 Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) are wavelength encoded fiber optic sensors used for sensing multitude of parameters like strain, temperature, pressure, etc. In this study, the response of FBG sensor to blast wave impact is analyzed numerically using FEM software ABAQUS and FBG spectrum analysis tool FBG SiMul V1. Blast waves are generated in a Vertical shock tube facility set up at Laboratory for Hypersonic and Shock wave research, ⅡSc. Dynamic explicit analysis is used in ABAQUS to study the time variation of stress and strains induced in the silica fiber for different blast pressure amplitudes. The frequency content of incident blast pulse is examined using FFT and the speed of elastic wave generated in fiber due to blast wave impact is calculated and compared with theoretical value. The response of FBG sensor namely, Bragg wavelength shift and FWHM variation with time are simulated in FBG SiMul V1. Their dependence on wave propagation effects like reflection and wave dispersion is studied. Due to their diminutive size, flexibility and immunity to electromagnetic interference, they are excellent contenders for use in impulse test facilities like shock tubes. 收起
