First, basel... 展开 Accelerated fatigue life testing using compressed signals generated via the fatigue damage squeezing (FDS) method was investigated using notched biaxial cruciform specimens with out-of-phase (nonproportional) loading. First, baseline testing, which consisted of running several tests to crack initiation using scaled versions of the Helix standardized loading spectrum, was conducted to verify the fatigue model, and then this model was used with the FDS method to compress two versions of the baseline signals that were scaled to achieve crack initiation lives of approximately 80k and 300k cycles. Using the FDS method, the original signals were compressed by approximately 89% and 96%, respectively. Good agreement between all predicted and observed crack initiation lives was found, along with consistent cracking behavior between the baseline and accelerated tests. 收起
