The inherent uncertainty within model-based engineering (MBE) can be quantified, enabling risk-informed decision-making by balancing the cost of knowing vs. the risk of assuming. Examples highlight the interrelationships between the MSA protocols. The examples also show how, as modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities evolve, risk in decision-making can decrease as new information arrives during the product lifecycle-e.g., field test data and evolving product requirements. 收起
