Direct band gap of Cu2 BaSnS4 (CBTS) makes it the suitable absorber material. Inthis work power conversion efficiency improvement of CBTS based device is presented. Performance of solar cell is analyzed by means of numerical modelling. Device modeling is performed on solar cell capacitance simulator (SCAPS) program under 1.5 AM illumination spectrum. It has been foundthat by optimizing the physical parameters of different layers of CBTS solar cell, promising functional parameters has been achieved. Power conversion efficiency is enhancing from 1.5% to 6.9% with open circuit voltage (Voc), short-circuit current (Jsc)and fill factor (FF). Optimization of a proposed device gives a maximum value of Voc = 0.78 V. Jsc = 11.64 mA/cm 2 and FF = 74.77%. The promising results will give an imperative standard for the feasible fabrication of high efficiency, eco-friendlyinorganic CBTS based photovoltaic cells. 收起
