Time does indeed fly when you are engaged in work that you believe in work that you know means something. I think it's a hoot to be absolutely sure that the many long hours you've devoted to a task have actually made a positive contribution to society, that your time has not been wasted. When all of the clouds have cleared, a meaningful occupation has its own mentally rewarding compensation. Today, as I remember the individuals I've had the privilege of meeting, getting to know and interacting with because of my association with this magazine, I can only think of gratitude to my father for suggesting that I take typing in high school. 收起
