PBX/IP PBX service is an important type of ICT (Information and communications technology) business of Chunghwa Telecom. As the number of users continues to increase, the stability of service quality is relatively more important. If there is no quick and convenient maintenance and operation mechanism for a wide variety of equipment styles, once service failure, problem processing efficiency will be reduced and the user interests seriously affected. To solve the problem of the PBX/IP PBX service maintenance, we developed a complete set of maintenance and operation mechanism based on the ITIL service management standards and implemented it in eDESK (e Dominant Environment for Services pacKage) Maintenance System. Combined with the flexible equipment architecture method and multi-data convergence and reached to provide the complete equipment information. With Dynamic maintenance and operation process design, can provide obstacles declaration, dispatching and maintenance treatment, and even automated notification and other related operations when service fails. In addition, by collecting the maintenance results can provide a variety of obstacle analysis mechanism to enhance the quality of follow-up services. These mechanisms not only improve the maintenance and operation of the original artificial inconvenience and low efficiency, but also to reduce the cost of maintenance and operation and shorten the processing time of the maintenance and operation, thereby strengthening the ICT service quality, enhance the image of the company's ICT services.

IP-PBX have grown considerably in the telecoms and IT industries in recent times due to their low cost, high customizability, open source and hardware-independent nature. Unlike traditional PBX systems that are TDM-based and require a separate wired infrastructure to operate, an IP PBX can be attached to the local LAN and uses SIP with RTP over Internet Protocol (IP) for signaling and data transport, respectively. Asterisk-based IP PBX has become a de facto standard for open-source low-to-medium calling capacity requirements. Single Board Computers (SBCs) are attracting considerable attention from academics, hobbyists and the industry, due to their compact size, low cost, low power, portability and fair processing ability. Raspberry Pi series SBCs are the pioneer in the field, having Pi, Pi2, Pi3 and Pi Zero in production, supporting different processing and storage capabilities. An IP PBX embedded on the raspberry Pi SBC can serve an adequate number of users and provide a tiny platform that can fit in a pocket and be transported anywhere while preserving the functionality of a complete IP PBX. Such systems can be phenomenally successful in situations where large infrastructures cannot be taken, for instance, in warzones or disaster-affected areas where communication networks are damaged, necessitating an immediate requirement for an ad hoc-based communication system. In this paper, we aim to explore the performance of an Asterisk?-based IP PBX installed on a Raspberry Pi 3 (model B) platform in terms of concurrent call handling using different codecs.

In order to enhance the utilization efficiency of network resources and meet the requirements of personalization and the variety of services, traditional TDM technology is replaced by IP. IMS/SIP protocol is adopted when IP PBX is communicated with the mobile subscribers. However, when the unexpected behaviors occurred during communications, operators require a system, IMSView, to identify the cause. IMSView System is a monitoring and analyzing system for IMS network, whose outstanding characteristics are listed as follows: the capabilities of fully automatic analyzing, expert system for problems analyzing and diagnosing, customized architecture and functionalities, and Web-based analysis results. IMSView System provides a great help to the quality improvement of IMS network. With the IMSView System, maintenance staffs can monitor and analyze IMS network traffic more efficiently. This paper shows the necessity and goals of IMSView System, and the values offered by the system. Also, the system architecture, the system functionalities, and the system operating procedures are introduced.

The objective of this paper is to apply real options techniques to justify the replacements of a Centrex and PBX voice solution for a new Hosted VoIP solution. Qualitative and quantitative (real options) approaches are used to compare the Centrex and PBX based solution currently deployed by the traditional voice carriers, with the one currently being developed and deployed by the VoIP providers. Potential savings in hardware cost, provisioning, billing, maintenance and service with new feature sets created as a result of converging voice on a data platform using the Internet Protocol (IP) are investigated. Based on the technological merits and the real options analysis, it is seen that a Hosted VoIP solution is the most effective solution for a company engaged in acquiring a new telecommunications solution.

The aim of the research is to design a portable wireless mesh networks based on IP PBX technology. The energy source of the system is supplied from the combination of solar cell and battery. The system employs Asterisk FreePBX software as a server configuration media while the clients, laptop and smartphone device, employ MicroSIP and Bria as a softphone. 13 concurrent calls perform 21.49% of CPU utilization, outperforming the previous research of around 70%. The results also describe that all the network performance parameters such us delay, jitter, and packet loss have met the ITU G.114 standards.
