Other morphologically similar species are T. catarinensis and T. molseediana. Tigridia Juss. (Tigridieae: Iridaceae) is a New World genus of about 45 species, growing in Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, and Mexico (Henrich & Gol dblatt, 1994; Goldblatt et al., 1998). In Mexico the genus is represented by about 36 species and six subspecies, of which 29 species and six subspecies are endemic. Currently, 11 species are known from the southern state of Oaxaca. In the course of syst ematic studies of Tigridia, we collected plants there that do not fit any of the descriptions of those species. We describe them here as new. 收起
